Accelerando
The Accelerando program provides an opportunity for exceptional young artists in years 10-12 at Victorian Government Schools to take their music to the next level. A tailored learning program, passionate students with an advanced musical ability on solo instrument, voice or as an electronic artist will undertake a year-long program working in collaboration with Australia’s premier music facility. Making Waves
Presented in partnership with Virtual School Victoria, the Making Waves program provides digital composition workshops, professional mentoring, and a showcase concert at Melbourne Recital Centre for budding VCE composers. Click here to watch the Making Waves digital workshops and concerts.
Sound Insights
Presented in partnership with AMEB, this unique series of events at will provide learners with the chance to hear syllabus favourites played by AMEB examiners. Baroque Competition
For gifted musicians under the age of 18, the Baroque Competition encourages young performers to explore the works of hundreds of composers in this rich musical period. Formerly the Bach Competition, this event dates back to the year Melbourne Recital Centre opened and is supported by Mrs Margaret Ross AM and Dr Ian Ross.
