Artist Assembly

Providing a suite of initiatives that can be tailored to the specific needs and interests of our local musicians, this program includes artist grants, open rehearsal opportunities, marketing tactics and artist rush tickets. Artist Assembly is made possible thanks to the generous support of Joy Selby Smith, Warwick and Paulette Bisley, Mary-Jane Gething AO, Sue Pelka and Richard Caven, and the Centre’s Artist Development donors.

SalonLab

Opening up our venue to artists, creators, writers, music-makers and sound creators, SalonLab is a place for Victorian based independent artists, ensembles and collectives to develop new ideas, stretch their creative thinking, expand horizons, and to think big and bold. The Primrose Potter Salon will be the artists’ own space to create in, developing new works and expanding skills and aspirations.

Merlyn Myer Music Commission

Providing an Australian female composer with the time, space and financial support to develop a new musical work, the Merlyn Myer Music Commission allows an enviable collaboration between composer and artists, working closely throughout the development process. The commission culminates in a recorded public performance of the new work in the Primrose Potter Salon.
