Lior – The Blue Parade
Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre in arrangement with RAZ Music
Details
Lior performs his new album The Blue Parade, along with beloved songs from his catalogue.
Following a recent sold-out album preview in the Salon, Lior marks the first major outing for his highly anticipated new record, The Blue Parade.
One of Australia’s most cherished singer-songwriters, Lior is renowned for his soul-stirring voice and songs that resonate with truth and sincerity. He burst onto the Australian music scene in 2005 with his debut album, Autumn Flow, which has become one of the most successful independent debut releases in Australian music history. His passion for new challenges has led to awe-inspiring collaborations with all the major Australian orchestras, earning him the prestigious Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship for outstanding excellence and courage in music.
As an artist, Lior draws deeply from his own life and observations of the world around him. Never one to shy away from expressing the full spectrum of the human experience, his compelling songs find a way to uplift even when reflecting upon darker themes lyrically and musically. An expansion of his earlier work, The Blue Parade was written with Melbourne-based guitarist/composer Cameron Deyell and produced by long-term collaborator Lachlan Carrick, giving rise to an expansive and cinematic soundscape. Joined by his five-piece band, be among the first to hear new songs along with beloved works from Lior’s extensive back catalogue in this unmissable experience.
