3MBS Marathon – Essence
Presented by 3MBS Melbourne 103.5FM
Details
Fidelio Quartet excels in Beethoven’s Harp Quartet; Paavali Jumppanen dazzles with Chopin’s brilliance.
Marathon Concert 3 features repertoire that renders descriptive language inadequate. Fidelio Quartet performs Beethoven’s Harp Quartet and celebrated pianist, Paavali Jumppanen dazzles with Chopin’s Berceuse and his iconic Funeral March. Paavali Jumppanen calls this Chopin sonata in some way, the most important work in a pianist’s repertoire. After his spell-binding performance in last year’s marathon, this is not to be missed.
Fidelio Quartet have declared their affinity for Beethoven in their very name and their performance of the Harp will undoubtedly enlighten.
