Double Labyrinth

Double Labyrinth

Presented by ELISION ensemble

Details

Double Labyrinth: two amazing concerts of new music.

A painting of maze-like forms by Australian artist Richard Dunn provides rich inspiration for a major new composition by Bryn Harrison and for these twin programmes. Both concerts highlight paradox, metaphor, humour and sadness; codification and contrast between saturation and simplicity, minimalistic form and complexity of content.

ELISION brings to life new works from amazing composers- Golnaz Shariatzadeh, Jon Yu, Bryn Harrison, Richard Barrett, Liza Lim, Einar Einarsson and Dominik Karski.

Praise for ELISION

‘One of the finest in Australia…turns it to eleven’ – Tempo

‘ELISION’s prodigious virtuosity pushes beyond itself to what lies on the other side: queer, strange, insatiable vitality.’ – Gramophone
