Australian Art Orchestra 30th Anniversary Concert
Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre
Details
Join the Australian Art Orchestra as they celebrate 30 years of music, legacy, and innovation.
In this unmissable birthday celebration, the Australian Art Orchestra (AAO) commemorates both legacy and future with a performance uniting a community of artists who have been part of the ensemble’s 30-year history.
Joined by special guests, Japanese hip-hop pioneer and MC, Hikaru Tanaka, and renowned songman, Kutcha Edwards, this concert brings together an ensemble of extraordinary musicians across the many iterations of the AAO.
Featuring new and reimagined works spanning three decades, including Ringing The Bell Backwards (AAO’s first performance and major work from 1994, composed by Paul Grabowsky), The Plains (composed by Peter Knight), and premieres from both Artistic Director Aaron Choulai and Associate Artist Sofia Carbonara, this performance signals a bold new era for the AAO.
Generously supported by the Robert Salzer Foundation.
