About the concert
Their performance in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall explores a lively repertoire celebrating dance, movement and vigour. From a spicy tarantella to a stately pavane, a vivacious galliard or a joyous chacona. La Compañia glides past Mediterranean shores to visit aristocratic parlours, boisterous taverns, town squares and royal courts discovering the highly fashionable dances that transfixed society. So rich in variety these alluring tunes and soulful poetic songs weave a rich tapestry of the Renaissance sweet life.
Join La Compañia for a stylish performance on splendid period instruments, adorned with virtuosic instrumental displays.
