Details

Vivid and nostalgic musical styles featuring lullabies, cannons and poetry.

Georgie Darvidis is one of Melbourne’s most versatile and adventurous young artists. Recognised for her interdisciplinary vocal practice, she traverses traditional jazz styles, as well as free improvisation and compositional forms.

About the concert

Her performance in Primrose Potter Salon brings together a new ensemble featuring the delicate sounds of harp, ondes Martenot and the unique combination of experimental vocal textures with story-telling lyrics. Featuring some of Melbourne’s most versatile and creative contributors, with the facility to explore through composed arrangements and wild improvisation.

An evening of dream like exploration of vivid and nostalgic musical styles such as lullabies, canons, poetry and both contemporary and classical approaches. The Moon is very, very, very, very far away.
