Cloud Concert Youth Orchestra ‘East to West’ Chinese New Year Concert.

Cloud Concert Youth Orchestra (CCYO) was founded during the COVID Pandemic. All orchestra members are from Victorian primary and middle schools. CCYO will be performing famous Chinese pieces, including the Yellow River Concerto in addition to other more well-known repertoires.

About the concert

Their performance in the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall begins with the Spring Festival Overture. Other traditional Chinese pieces include The Beloved One, played with Konghou, Guzheng and Violin. Dragons Rising and Tigers Leaping will also be performed with traditional percussion instruments. Further, famous chamber pieces such as Por Una Cabeza , The Butterfly Lovers, Oboe Concerto in D Minor, La Campanella will be showcased, with the concert being wrapped up with a rendition of the Yellow River Piano Concerto.
