Our New Brand and Website


The team at Melbourne Recital Centre is excited to share with you Melbourne Recital Centre’s new brand and website.  

With 15 years of multifaceted and memorable experiences to our name, we are proud to unveil a future-forward brand and state-of-the-art accessible website that lays the foundation for the organisation’s enterprising and exciting next chapter. 

Working in creative partnership with Studio MASS, an award-winning Melbourne-based human-centred design agency, Melbourne Recital Centre’s new brand exemplifies boldness, exploration, diversity and architectural framing.  

A brand and website for everyone. 

After extensive consultation with audiences, artists and industry throughout 2024, at the heart of the new brand is local placemaking, shared connections and the sensory awakening that is born from immersion in a quality, personal live music experience.  

Discover the sounds inside the honeycomb, where every experience is yours for the taking.  

This is expressed visually through simulation of Melbourne Recital Centre’s façade and the tessellated window shapes that are often colloquially referred to as ‘honeycomb’ by locals and passersby. These windows serve as the key brand asset - a lens.  

The lens can be interpreted literally, where visitors can discover the sounds behind the honeycomb and immerse themselves in an exceptional live music experience of their choice. The lens can also be interpreted figuratively as a consistently recognisable graphic across platforms, collateral, campaigns and activations.  

Every sound tells a story, and every note a new horizon. 

2025 is a year of revitalisation and transformation for Melbourne Recital Centre, with open invitation for all to dare:

Award-winning Melbourne-based digital design agency Studio Bravo was selected from a highly competitive tender process to redevelop Melbourne Recital Centre’s new website, positioning accessibility at the forefront and the structural frame for our new brand to flourish.  

Following widespread consultation and workshopping with Melbourne Recital Centre’s stakeholders, the result is a creative and contemporary eCommerce platform that is built with user consideration and user convenience front-of-mind, and which caters to our diverse community and our commercial needs for the Centre. 

We are proud to work with two outstanding Melbourne-based and owned businesses to bring these significant projects to life.

While our look, feel and digital platforms and services have evolved, we at Melbourne Recital Centre continue to harness and advance our role as one of the most impressive live music venues in the world, celebrated for our venues’ exceptional acoustics and unmatched variety of performances. 

Our renewed vision imagines a future where music and storytelling are fundamental to everyone’s lives. Our renewed purpose is to amplify Australia’s diverse music ecology to connect people like you with the power of live music and inspire positive change. 

Central to our growth and success in 2025 and beyond, are the people behind-the-scenes who share their passion, skills, stories and love of music with us every day.  

As we look brightly towards Melbourne Recital Centre’s 20th anniversary in 2029, and the Centre’s newfound position within the transformed Melbourne Arts Precinct, our renewed course to ensure the Centre’s sustained success and evolution starts here.
