With a 20+ year creative history together, Katie Noonan and Karin Schaupp share their latest co-creation: Songs of the Southern Skies Volume 2.
Renowned for breaking genre barriers, Katie Noonan’s technical mastery has cemented her status as one of Australia’s most beloved vocalists, while guitarist Karin Schaupp’s internationally celebrated career has taken her around the globe as recitalist and soloist.
Returning to their acclaimed Southern Skies catalogue, Volume 2 sees the ARIA-award winning duo reinterpret a selection of songs by their favourite female antipodean artists. With reimaged arrangements of works by artists such as Aunty Ruby Hunter, Missy Higgins, Sia, Kate Ceberano, Sarah Blasko and more, Katie and Karin showcase their long-time reputation for having an ‘intuitive relationship that… together makes for some gorgeous music-making’ (Limelight).
