Chong, Barltrop and Narroway play Trios

An evening of romantic and dramatic chamber music.
Witness three of Australia’s most compelling musicians unite for an evening of richly romantic and dramatic piano trios. Acclaimed pianist Kristian Chong returns to the Primrose Potter Salon alongside leading Australian musicians Dale Barltrop (violin) and Richard Narroway (cello) in an unmissable chamber music performance.
Featuring Beethoven’s bold Piano Trio No.3 in C minor, Op.1 and Dvořák’s deeply expressive Piano Trio No.3 in F minor, Op.65, experience two masterpieces that push the boundaries of chamber music. Beethoven’s trio brims with intensity and structural innovation, marking his break from classical tradition, while Dvořák’s unfolds with sweeping lyricism, shifting from dark introspection to a triumphant, heartfelt finale.
Duration: 1 hour 20 mins (no interval). Please note, running times are approximate and subject to change.
