Ticket Prices
Standard
This is the full price of a ticket for a performance and is the price type that most people generally select.
Concession
This price is available only to people who have a valid:
- Carer Card
- Pension Card
- Health Care Card
Our Concession price does not include the Victorian Seniors Card. If a Senior price is available for a performance, it will be listed as a separate price type.
If you have purchased a Concession ticket, you will be required to show your card when purchasing tickets, collecting tickets, or at any time during your visit. Only the Concession card holder may purchase Concession tickets.
Full-Time Student
This price is available to all full-time students, including children aged under 16.
As with Concession tickets, students 16 and over are expected to have their Student Card or proof of enrolment with them when purchasing tickets, collecting tickets, or at any time during their visit.
Children under 16 using this price are not required to show proof of eligibility but are required to be accompanied by a guardian at all times when visiting the Centre. Please note that not all performances are suitable for all ages.
Companion Cards
If you are a companion card holder and would like to purchase a complimentary companion ticket as part of your order, please call the box office on 03 9699 3333 during business hours. For more information on the Victorian companion card program please visit companioncard.org.au
Student Rush
For selected performances, a Student Rush may be offered from one hour prior to the performance. This is only available in person, subject to availability and Student cards must be shown when purchasing tickets. Only the Student card holder may purchase Student Rush tickets.

Melbourne Recital Centre Members
Melbourne Recital Centre Members enjoy waived transaction fees and save 10% on tickets to selected concerts. Click here for more information.
Under 30’s
For selected performances anyone aged 29 and under can purchase a ticket. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of purchase or collection of the ticket.
Babes in Arms
For designated events where this symbol is shown, babies under the age of one may attend free of charge and be admitted without a ticket, on the condition that they do not occupy a seat and sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. Everyone else attending these events must hold a valid ticket. For all other events, every person regardless of age must hold a valid ticket.
Please note, this is in line with the Centre’s current COVIDSafe Plan.
HalfTix
From time to time Melbourne Recital Centre will make tickets available via HalfTix at Melbourne Town Hall. Visit halftixmelbourne.com for details.
Mobtix
Mobtix is a special allocation of tickets that allows First Nations peoples both within and outside Australia access to a discounted rate for certain concerts. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from Australia are eligible, as well as Māori, Pasifika and First Nations people from other countries.
