Details

The Sopranista returns.

Kicking off the 2025 season in fabulous style, male soprano Samuel Mariño, known for his bold and fearless performances, returns to stage as a glittering guest of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.

Back by popular demand, the trailblazing smash hit of ABO’s 2022 season once again promises to challenge and transcend gender boundaries with his daring and vivid ode to the power of woman. Through the theatricality and emotional depth of Handel’s arias, ABO will embark on a dazzling escapade of vocal virtuosity that has been lovingly programmed by Mariño in homage to the many facets of the female identity. From the queen to the sorcerer, to the femme fatale, Mariño explores diverse feminine archetypes through his unique lens to deliver universal messages of longing and hope that will touch your heart.

Mariño’s unique voice, and fearless, dynamic presence will resonate with strength and beauty whilst traversing the emotional landscape of human experience. For a night where tradition meets audacity, witness a celebration of artistic freedom that inspires as much as it cheekily provokes through Mariño’s profound and exhilarating perspective.

Bold, powerful and erupting with emotion.
