Top Class Drama and Theatre Studies showcase the creativity and artistry possible through the VCE curriculum.
An inspiring concert series showcasing talented young performers and designers from across Victoria, Top Class Drama and Theatre Studies 2025 present a range of original and scripted monologue and design interpretations.
Audiences will witness a broad range of exceptional examination solos from high-scoring 2024 VCE Drama and Theatre Studies students. This concert series includes 2 concerts per study, each with 10 presentations. The Chief Assessor for each study will compere these part-showcase, part-masterclass concerts, providing insight on how current VCE students can best prepare for their own performance examinations.
Top Class Drama will feature a range of original monologues from the 2024 prescribed structures. Top Class Theatre Studies will feature a mix of acting/direction and design interpretations of existing monologues, including examples of interpretation statements.

School Group Booking
The presale period for school group bookings is now closed.
During this presale, schools were invited to complete a booking request form.
School groups who completed the form in full will be seated in order of receipt and will receive a booking confirmation and invoice prior to the general on sale on Thursday 12 December.
From 11am Thursday 12 December, tickets will be available online for at a maximum of four per a customer. All group bookings from this date requiring an invoice can be made over the phone, in person or via email. School groups are strongly encouraged to book over the phone or at email boxoffice@melbournerecital.com.au.
A limited number of additional tickets will be released for sale in early February 2025 once all concert performers are announced.
